Village Worship Initiative exists to raise worship leaders for the local church globally—leaders who are deeply rooted in Scripture, formed in Christlike character, equipped for ministry, and able to lead the Church in worship within their own cultural context.
By 2036, we envision a global movement of worship leaders, songwriters, churches, and ministry practitioners who are helping the local church become a worshipping people. Our vision is not simply to produce more leaders or more songs, but to see discipled worship leaders shaping healthy churches and a growing body of culturally rooted songs strengthening the worship of the global Church.
We will disciple 10,000 worship leaders through the Rooted in Worship experience across the globe.
We believe worship leadership is more than musical ability. It is a calling that requires spiritual formation, theological depth, character, leadership, community, and practical ministry experience. Using Rooted In Worship, we will therefore equip leaders to serve their local churches faithfully—while creating a growing global network in which worship leaders learn from, encourage, and strengthen one another across cultures.
We will facilitate the writing and recording of 1,500 songs rooted in Scripture, shaped by local cultures, and created for the life of the Church.
Through songwriting communities, camps, Rooted in Worship experiences, and partnerships with worship leaders around the world, we will help build a Global Church Hymnal—not a single style of music, but a growing collection of songs that reflect the beauty, diversity, languages, stories, and theological richness of the global Church.
We will support 100 church plants with worship leadership development, songwriting, resources, training, and practical support.
We believe healthy worship leaders help establish healthy worshipping congregations. By investing in church plants and emerging churches, we can help establish worshipping communities from the beginning—equipping leaders to build sustainable cultures of worship rather than simply providing music for church gatherings.
